Valentine’s Day is usually about showing the one you love just how much you love them. It’s full of fancy dinners, special gifts, and chocolate. However, you don’t need to break the bank to show your love. Check out these tips to help you make Valentine’s Day extra special.
Write a heartfelt note

If you’re good with words, writing out your own note or card can be special. It shows that you took the extra time to write something specifically for them. They will have a one of a kind card and it will mean so much more to the person receiving it.

Make Dinner at Home

Many couples try to eat out on Valentine’s Day. This results in long waits and less than perfect service because of the amount of people. Instead of going out, consider making a special meal at home. If you have children, keep them entertained or find a babysitter and make your night special.

Have a Movie Night

Didn’t get to see that movie in theaters and still haven’t seen it. Make Valentine’s Day the day you finally watch that movie with your special person. Consider buying the DVD, Blu-Ray or renting from Redbox or Amazon. Pop your own popcorn, get some snacks, and enjoy the movie in the comfort of your own home.

Make the Candy Special

Instead of getting the cliche box of chocolates, if you know that your significant other loves a specific candy bar, opt for that. Better yet, get a box of their favorite candy or snacks instead of the assorted chocolates. This shows thoughtfulness, and you know that they are more likely to enjoy it.

There’s no need to empty your bank account for the one you love. Gifts and treats may show them that you care, but if you put in a little effort and make it special, you can still show your love.
