5 Holiday Shopping Tips
As the holidays quickly approach, you may be starting or finishing up your shopping. This holiday season will most likely be a little different than anything before. Traveling and gathering together in large groups may not be the best idea. However, you can still get your loved ones something nice, and make sure it gets to them on time.
Make a List
If you’re avoiding large crowds or trying to limit your time in stores, making a list can help keep you on task and on budget. For online shoppers, we know it’s easy to get distracted by the amount of content online so keep that list handy to keep you focused. Making a list also helps ensure you get the right gift for the right person at the right price.
Start Now
A lot of stores are having extended sales from Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If you didn’t start your shopping then, you may want to start as soon as possible to take advantage of those deals. Online retailers are expecting a large volume of purchases and items may go out of stock sooner than normal. Avoid shipping delays and out of stock messages by ordering early.
Shop Trusted Sources
If you’re doing your holiday shopping online, make sure you’re shopping from trusted sources. With an increase in web traffic, scammers and hackers may be waiting to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Review our blog on protecting yourself online for greater details on ways to stay safe.
Consider Curbside Pickup
Sometimes you just want to pick up that gift. Avoid the crowds and shipping by taking advantage of curbside pickup. You can buy the item online and avoid shipping delays (and fees) by choosing to pick up the item from the store. This option is usually available at large retail stores to make your holiday shopping experience safe and easy.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are still an excellent gift this year. Many local businesses and retailers have started offering them as a way to keep their businesses open during the pandemic. These new gift cards could be for services like hair salons, nail salons, photography, or even a local restaurant. A well-thought gift card could still be a great way to show someone you care.
Our holiday season may look different this year, but we can still make the most of it. Holiday shopping can still be fun and exciting.
